Test, Analysis, & Design Services

Prototype and integrate Audio and Video effects, Power Supplies, Radio Frequency and Infrared Remote Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, solid state relays, electrical systems, and computer interfaces Develop procedures and devices for harsh industrial environments dealing with vibration and large temperature swings on delicate electro-optical sensors expected to work in saw mills, oil fields, and commercial food processing lines.

Reduced the variability on measurement from 20% down to 0.5% by isolating multiple interacting optical, electronic, mechanical, thermal, and sensor variables. The production sensor system became more marketable leading to new applications and increasing market share.

While working with Infrared (invisible) beam paths, I researched the equations, developed a computer simulation in C, and built a test jig to validate field observations.

Resolving an issue for a sensor modified with new thermal controls. Reviewing the analog linear power supply, showed a missing wire as the line was on the crease of a folded drawing used by Manufacturing. I updated the drawings for Assembly & Field Repairs.

Customer Support

I resolve issues on the first pass, document the issues, and always make myself available to my customers.

Information is essential for any research activity. I maintain a technical library and work to make sure resources are organized to support research. I have reorganized technical libraries and inventories to reduce component search time from hours to just a few minutes.
